On September 26, 2017, the USAID CGP will start a series of two-day workshops on “Effective and Responsible Advocacy” for partner CSOs that underwent a voluntary diagnostic process. The purpose of the workshop is to improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills in advocacy for the planning and implementation of effective and responsible advocacy campaigns aimed at achieving a specific outcome. During the workshops, participants will consider advocacy as a development tool, study conditions required for successful effective and responsible advocacy, and learn about links between concepts such as human rights, policy and government. Participants will also learn to identify goals and objectives of advocacy campaigns including effective strategies, tactics and key stakeholders, attend practical training on planning an advocacy campaign, and develop a monitoring and evaluation.

The workshops will be held in Osh, Batken, Issyk-Kul, Naryn and Chui oblasts. The workshop may be attended free of charge by CSOs that underwent the voluntary organizational and human capacity diagnostics process funded by the USAID CGP and US Embassy.
