On August 28-29, 2018, representatives of noncommercial organizations in Karakol and members of the Karakol City Council participated in a two-day training, where they obtained knowledge and skills to prepare an application for participation in the competition for a state social procurement. The participants were familiarized with state social procurement, its objectives, areas of its application, social services, implementing mechanisms at local level, the role of a grant committee, application, documentation, and reporting requirements.  
 
The training was organized as a part of the project “Strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development to implement state social procurement” implemented by the Development Policy Institute with the support of the Collaborative Governance Program (CGP), implemented by East-West Management Institute. CGP is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United State Agency of International Development (USAID), with additional funding from the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID).
