On November 19-29, 2019, Public Union “Activist” and Public Foundation “Daanazat” held a ten-day campaign in nine schools of Leilek District in Batken Oblast to inform parents about the need of legal guardianship for those relatives and acquaintances who will take care of their children before parents leave for other regions and / or countries in search of labor.
The participants of the campaign included guardians, migrant families, local government (ayil okmotu) employees, specialists of the Department for Support of Families and Children, social workers, teachers and students who took part in the forum-theaters held at school. During the campaign, more than 300 people took part in the activities and received information on the issues of guardianship and problems of migrant children.
The PU “Activist” and the PF “Daanazat” organized a campaign as part of the project “Assistance in safeguarding the rights and legitimate interests of children left without parental care in Batken and Leilek Districts of Batken Oblast” implemented with the support of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program.
