On January 22, 2015, the Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded 8 medals on the occasion of the 90th Anniversary of the Kyrgyzstani Police to civil society leaders for a significant contribution on improving the work of the internal affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and establishment of proper interaction of internal affairs and society.

Thus, the Ministry of Interior highlighted the work of civil society representatives, who worked most closely with them in recent years. This award is a call to build a dialogue between the police and the civil society sector. Among awardees were representatives of Civic Union "For Reforms and Result," PF Our Right, PU Coalition for Democracy and Civil Society, and Human Rights Protection Center "Kylym Shamy."
USAID Collaborative Governance Program has been supporting police reforms monitoring initiatives of the Civic Union "For Reforms and Results" through its grant program "Partnership for Change" from November 2013 to October 2014.
