On April 30, 2014, at the Nonprofit Management Resource Center at the Kyrgyz National University, over 40 students, professors of the Consortium of Universities, and members from the international donor community joined representatives of civil society organizationand from the private sector attended the 5th of an ongoing series of “KNU Nonprofit Management Resource Center Guest Lectures” featuring three guest lectures.

The Chairperson of PU “Kelecheck Education Endowment Fund”, Aisulu Sulaimanova, presented on“Kyrgyz Realities of Social Entrepreneurship” followed by a presentation on “Legal Aspects of Social Entrepreneurship in the Kyrgyz Republic” by Aida Rustemova, Legal Assistant of the International Center of Not-for-Profit Law. USAID Collaborative Governance Program’s Capacity Development Officer, Inna Rakhmanova, made a presentation on the mission, objectives, and approach of the Collaborative Governance Program. Presentations were featured a lively level of interaction with the attendees with many questions being raised during each of the three presentations.The participants of the three lectures were open and vocal in their support onthe quality of presentations made specifically noting that the presentations were well focused with an excellent level of detail, informative, and helpful.

This series of “KNU Nonprofit Management Resource Center Guest Lectures” are the result of funding provided to the Nonprofit Management Resource Center at the Kyrgyz National University  as part of the support to strengthening the civil society sector under the auspices of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program.
