On May 12-15, 2015, Irys Beybutova, Coordinator of the Consortium of Universities on Nonprofit Management (NPM), Dean at the School of International Relations, Kyrgyz National University, was on a business trip in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia to meet with colleagues from Georgian Universities, CSOs and with five Kyrgyz professors-fellows of the Second NPM Fellowship Program supported by the USAID Collaborative Governance Program.

The five professors-fellows from Kyrgyzstan have been working with partners from Georgian Universities and CSOs on NPM program from May 3-30, 2015. During her meeting with professors-fellows from Kyrgyzstan, Irys Beybutova discussed if the NPM Fellowship Program has been arranged well for them and if they find the work with Georgian partners helpful. The fellows emphasized the successful project on NPM, which has been recently launched at Ilia State University in Tbilisi. They liked interactive methodology, PR component and outreach activities that have been practiced by Georgian partners while teaching NPM courses. USAID CGP's Second NPM Fellowship Program provided a wonderful opportunity for exchanging experiences of two countries on NPM education and specifics of CSO development in two countries, as well as learning new methodologies and building further partnerships with Georgian colleagues. Upon return to Bishkek, professors-fellows are planning to enrich the 3rd syllabus with outreach activities and new methodologies practiced at Ilia State University. Professor Irys Beybutova highlighted, that her business trip was very productive and gave a new vision on how to strengthen and advance the NPM education in Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic. New ideas on Certification Program and issues of Accreditation, introduction of PR component and outreach activities into a NPM curriculum were discussed with Georgian partners and Kyrgyz professors-fellows during Irys Beibutova's business trip.
