Public Foundation Asia Consulting is currently implementing a large-scale survey among civil society organization leaders to study their experience in cooperating with government agencies in decision making related to public and municipal administration.

Activities have been carried out as a part of the project titled “Improving Stability of Cooperation between Government Agencies and Civil Society Organizations” implemented by the Public Foundation Asia Consulting and supported by the Collaborative Governance Program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The project is aimed at informing decision makers in government agencies and non-government sector representatives on the current situation in the area of cooperation between government and civil society.

The survey will study challenges and opportunities for scaling-up cooperation between civil society and government agencies including achievements, issues faced, and forms of cooperation.

Deliverables will include survey report including recommendations, compilation of case studies, and database to include findings of content analysis of media, laws and regulations, and quantitative parameters of cooperation between CSOs and government agencies.

The survey will employ several methods including interviewing civil society leaders. The survey will ensure broad coverage of the civil society opinions and practices of cooperation with government agencies and allow finding variations regarding various policies, agencies, civil society organizations’ characteristics, country regions etc.

Interviewing will cover 400 respondents from the ACSSC database established in 2013.

The survey within the project “Improving Stability of Cooperation between Government Agencies and Civil Society Organizations” has been made possible thanks to support provided by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as a part of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program implemented by East-West Management Institute, Inc. in cooperation with the Public Foundation Asia Consulting.
