On February 26, 2016, NPM Resource Center at Osh State University conducted ToT on the 3rd NPM course “Financial Management in nonprofits (NPOs)” for 22 professors from 4 Consortium and 2 non-Consortium Universities. Mirlan Ubaidullaev, Dean of the School of Business and Management, Osh State University welcomed the participants and noted the importance of the work being done in the school within the framework of NPM education. The goal of the seminar was to introduce professors to the course syllabus, help them develop their understanding of its main concepts and adapt the syllabus to the needs of students in southern universities.

Three trainers, Baktygul Maksytova, Osh State University (SU), Dooronbek Sattarkulov from Batken SU and Nurbek Musakulov from Jalalabal SU facilitated the seminar, introduced a syllabus and main seminar objectives, skills the students expected to develop, resources available to teach the course, and various teaching methods and strategies applied to the syllabus. They also involved the participants in a team work to discuss specific issues of the course, share and build on each other’s teaching strengths and experiences. Overall, the participants enjoyed the seminar and requested Certificates of Participation in the Russian language. Each participant was provided electronic and hard copies of the course syllabus.
