On March 16, 2016 the KNU Resource Center hosted a guest lecture of Tilebaldy uulu Eliizar, Program Director of Institute for Youth Development on the theme «Nonprofit Organizations in Kyrgyzstan and Activities of the Institute for Youth Development» to share with students and other participants his views about youth participation in the nonprofit sector in Kyrgyzstan. The lecture was attended by 26 students and 3 professors of the Kyrgyz National University.  The lecturer talked about youth politics in KR by bringing in statistics, wherein 30 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s population is represented by young people and therefore the role of youth in social and economic development of the country is becoming increasingly significant. He also pointed at the drawbacks of youth policy, namely absence of clear strategy and common vision. Mr. Eliizar concluded that young people must be more actively involved in building the common future of Kyrgyzstan.
