Bishkek - On April 23, 2016, Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Kudaibergen Bazarbaev had a meeting with representatives of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program Senior Program Officer Ruslan Monolbaev, Chair of the Public Union Association of Parents of Disabled Children (ARDI) Tamara Jumabekova followed by the ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry and the PU ARDI.

The Memorandum is aimed at strengthening the partnership of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of KR with the PU ARDI, the Institute of Childhood, and national network "Zhanyryk" in implementation of the project titled "Current Standards in Day Care Centers and Social Service Institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic". This project is supported by the Collaborative Governance Program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and implemented by East-West Management Institute (EWMI).

The project conducted a study on compliance with accepted minimum standard of social services provided to persons with disabilities (PWDs), including children, in the semi-permanent organizations and institutions of social service of regulation of KR Government  RCC Decree №381 dated July 8, 2014., for the applicability of these standards in daily, semi-stationary and stationary facilities.
