On March 11, 2017 over 90 students and faculty members attended a guest lecture of Japanese Alumni Association representatives, including the Vice-President of JAA Elenora Jumalieva, Board member of JAA Aybolot Aydosov, and Board member of JAA Kanybek Matisakov. The lecture was held at the NPM Resource Center at Osh State University and covered the following topics: Japan International Cooperation Agency “JICA” activities in the Kyrgyz Republic; internship opportunities; JICA Alumni Association activities; and professional development in health care, media sector, and public service.

The lecture was presented in an engaging manner, and was followed by a question-and-answer session. The focus of the session was the JICA intern program including the terms for admission to the program, inspirational and successful stories of those who received training in Japan, and how to obtain more information about the internship program and employment opportunities for the graduates.
