During April –May of 2017, USAID Collaborative Governance Program hosted a number of seminars on “PR and Media Tools” in all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. Representatives of CSOs obtained basic PR tools to work with the community and media, learned how to organize and conduct a successful event, build relations with the media and government officials and use effective Google and social media tools for a successful awareness campaign.

The participants of seminars also learned the latest media survey data, conducted by the International Research and Consulting Company “M-VECTOR” in the Kyrgyz Republic. The survey results showed that the number of radio listeners, for example, decreased by 29.5%, newspapers readers decreased by 4%, and the number of TV viewers decreased by 2.5% in 2016 compared with 2015. The level of Internet penetration increased by 4.3% in 2016 compared with 2015. Now CSOs know media survey data and can use it for selecting mass media and social media.
